FIELD: catalyst production. SUBSTANCE: method provides precipitation of the base nickel carbonate on silicate carrier with 1:(2.2 - 4) carbonate/carrier ratio with followed filtration, washing up and pelletization with 4.5 - 5.5 kg/pellet force. Then the pellet is recovered in hydrogen flow and then it is passivated in nitrogen flow up to 0.5 - 4.5 ratio of reduced/oxidized nickel forms. EFFECT: high filtration capacity in magnetic field. 1 tbl
