TAPPER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: tapping by fixed tapper with curved shank. SUBSTANCE: tapper has body 1 with spindle 2, disk-type feeder 7, accumulating magazine 6. Receptacles 9 for receiving blanks and annular channel 8 for receiving shank of tapper 5 are made in end surface of disk-type feeder 7. Accumulating magazine 6 is formed as housing composed of two parts. One part of housing embraces feeder 7 and other part embraces tapper shank. Central through opening 4 having shape corresponding to that of blank is made in spindle 2. In the process of tapping working part of tapper 5 is positioned into central opening 4 of spindle, shank of tapper 5 is inserted into channel 8, blanks are charged into receptacles 9 of disk-type feeder 7. Feeder 7 is rotated to urge blanks for movement along shank of tapper 5 till accumulating magazine 6 is completely filled with blanks. As first part is discharged from accumulating magazine, it falls onto inlet portion of tapper 5 and is retained in central opening 4 of spindle 2.
