FIELD: storage-battery trucks; invalid carriage. SUBSTANCE: each motion electric drive has control unit, power converter and the first electro-mechanical unit, which has actuating engine, reduction gear and mechanical brake. The second electro-mechanical unit is introduced into the device (the brake unit), which is connected with brake. The first electro-mechanical unit is provided with unit for measuring angular position and rotational frequency of actuating engine. Power converter has input for power turning off. Control unit has logic switch, controlled switch, comparison elements, correcting elements and control signal former. Transport vehicle may be braked as in "electric arrester" mode when using circuits being closed for speed and angle, and by means of mechanical brake. The mechanical brake is brought into operation in the cases only, when the basic drive should be unloaded and in alarm modes. Mechanical brake is sustained at operational condition (wheels are released) due to specific construction of the second electro-mechanical unit. Power consumption for wheel releasing is reduced. EFFECT: reduced power consumption. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
