FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: known system of control over electric mode is supplemented with new units, namely: voltage correction unit, unit of formation of commands from intermediate and extreme limit switches, two units of inhibition of electrode movement with deviation of power depending on position of electrode. Apart from them new couplings between units were inserted and operation algorithm of circuit of switching over of voltage stages, of voltage pickup and check of maximum permissible electrode current was changed. EFFECT: improved quality of control by avoidance of oscillatory mode and reduced power consumption, expanded functional capabilities with prevention of errors caused by fluctuations of furnace transformer and avoidance of self-excited oscillations. 2 cl, 4 dwg
