CONTACT-SEPARATING PLATE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: gas and chemical industry, refinery. SUBSTANCE: contact-separating plate has horizontal base with contact-separating members, fixed on it. Contact separating members are made in the form of hollow thin-walled vertical cylinders with tangential inlets for gas rotation in space under plate. Inlets of liquids are made in the form of tangential grooves over plate on body of contact-separating members. Thin-walled cylinder is mounted with coaxial clearance inside contact-separating member. Cylinder is fixed to body by point type supports. Thin-walled cylinder lower edge is located over upper row of tangential inlets of gas. Cylinder upper edge is lowered relatively to upper edge of body of contact-separating member and forms ring type separating break, separated by inner wall of contact-separating member and protruding towards cylinder lower edge of diaphragming member, fixed on upper cut of body. Tangential inlets of contact-separating member are made in the form of bent out arch flakes, passing through canal of which is oriented downwards at an angle of 15 -65 deg to longitudinal axis of member. Lower part of member has sigar-shaped or conical narrowing, ending with central hole for liquid pouring out. Solid or perforated deflecting partition is mounted after central hole for liquid pouring out. Arch flakes on area, that is below base of plate are bent out inside body of contact-separating member and those, that are over surface of plate, are bent out outside. In the case, part of surface of contact-separating members between tangential inlets, that is under plate, has perforated holes of 1 - 3 mm diameter each. EFFECT: contact-separating plates are used in processes of heat-mass exchange between gas and liquid. 5 cl, 3 dwg
