FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: briquette includes carbon or oxygen containing components and for effective functioning of the briquette in a volume of large crystallizing ingots it contains ferrum and a binding matter - melt glass. That allows to increase compactness of the briquette up to values 4,5-6,0 g/cm3, providing disturbance of zone of honeycomb bubbles upon ingot structure formation. Composition has liquid glass (0.5-1.0)%: carbon or oxygen-containing matter, being present in the liquid glass, provides assimilation of carbon and oxygen in relation to ferrum 1:1. EFFECT: enhanced quality of blank and chemical uniformity of ingot. 1 cl, 4 dwg
