FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: capstan has body, in which spindle 1 with faceplate 2 are mounted. Faceplate 2 has turning lever 4 with chisel and copying roller 7. Gear-bush 13 with chisel feeding cam 14, engaged with copying roller, is mounted in spindle with capability of turning. Device to turn gear-bush 13 is made in the form of differential mechanism and rack type transmission, rack 26 of which is piston of hydraulic cylinder. In the case, differential mechanism one conical wheel 9 is kinematically connected with drive and spindle and one more conical wheel 11 - with gear-bush 13. Rack transmission geared wheel 24 is fixed on shaft 23 of spider of differential mechanism. EFFECT: chisel capstan is used for metal pipes cutting. 6 dwg
