SUBSTANCE: in machine to make book block soft covering mechanism of pressing table movement is made in the form of mounted on machine bad frame and spring-loaded in relation to it swinging parallelogram with forward moving link in the form of pressing table with stop, engaged with longitudinal pusher of carriage, that moves book block. Mechanism of movement for each side pressing plate of apparatus to make soft covering is made in the form of double parallelogram, that is mounted on pressing table and spring-loaded in relation to it and has forward moving link in the form of pressing plate. Analogues link of other parallelogram has made on it stop, that is engaged with longitudinal pusher of bed frame.
