FIELD: polygraphy. SUBSTANCE: machine has frame, charging unit, book spine embossing device with at least one cutter fixed on base mounted for rotation, device for applying glue layer to book block spine and sides, device for fixing soft cover to book block, and conveyor. Glue applying device has roller positioned for rotation and partially dipped into glue vessel. Cover fixing device has pressing table with pressing side plates and plate moving mechanism. Conveyor is adapted for moving carriage with book block clamping mechanism through mentioned devices. Conveyor is mounted on longitudinal guide in frame for displacement along guide. Two rings axially aligned with roller of glue applying device have diameter exceeding that of roller by value equal to height of side glue layer applied to book block. At least one ring is positioned for displacement along roller. Faced surfaces of pressing plates of cover fixing device are provided with rectangular beads arranged in their upper part.
