FIELD: packaging materials. SUBSTANCE: packaging material has a main layer of polymeric film, for example of polyethylenterefthalate film with biaxial orientation, whose one side is plated by a metal layer such as aluminium. On such metallized film graphic and other information is printed, with use of printing ink this information may be printed on the metallized side of the package and also non-metallized side of the package. Simultaneously or after printing of such information onto the printed surface or onto the non-printed surface a thermosealing layer is being applied in order to form thermosealing seam, around which the material will be wound. According to one variant of the invention high-effective protective packaging material is being used as an outer envelope for cigarettes pack, provided by a breakable strip for removing one end of the outer envelope. According to another variant of the invention such high-effective protective packaging material is being used as outer casing of a cardboard box, containing a lot of cigarette packs and provided by a breakable strip for removing one end part of the outer casing of the cardboard box. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of tobacco article protection. 9 cl, 6 dwg, 2 tbl
