FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed packet with lip cover for tobacco articles has box with front wall, opening end, two side walls, lower wall and inlet slot formed in front wall, and wrapper enclosing rod-like tobacco articles. Lip cover is hinge-connected with rear edge of hinge joint of box opening end for opening and closing of end when lip cover is in closed position Lip cover includes cover for covering opening end of box, and lip connected with cover by bending which can be placed on front wall of box to cover inlet slot. Joining of lip cover and box before first opening and also after opening of lip cover is made to indicate that lip cover has opened. Box includes one access hole made in front wall and extending from front edge of opening end to inlet slot, and opening area limited by dividing line to form access hole. Moreover, wrapper is provided with separable area in part corresponding to access hole. Said separable area made form with possibility of separation is limited by dividing line. Packet includes additionally first area coated with glue to hold rear surface of lip and separable area of wrapper to each other through access hole or through opening area. Invention relates also to blank for such packet.

EFFECT: provision of protection against unauthorized opening and possibility of dispensing with additional film wrapper.
