FIELD: erection of power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: supporting structure is first assembled and delivered to erection site in vertical position. On erection site, it is installed through its shoes onto ground between foundation members and anchor, its upper part is tilted through 10 to 15 deg. in respect to vertical towards foundation, safety cables fastened on anchor and having length equal to distance between anchor and foundation members are attached to supporting, structure posts, supporting structure is lifted above foundation, and after post shoes are brought in alignment with foundation members, as viewed from top, they are mated. Prior to this, post tilting angle in respect to vertical is reduced to 6-10 deg. While supporting structure is being attached to flying vehicle, provision should be made to elevate one post shoe 1 to 15 m above other shoe. With flying vehicle hovering above erection site, it is turned so that supporting structure crossbar is positioned along fuselage. EFFECT: improved safety in erecting gantry supporting structures. 4 cl, 5 dwg
