FIELD: manufacture of constructional materials. SUBSTANCE: stock for manufacture of silica bricks contains 9 to 12 mass percent aspiration powder from lime roasting kilns, 16 to 22 mass percent fireclay aspiration powder and 66 to 75 mass percent sand. Method for manufacture of silica bricks prescribes mixing lime and fireclay powder with filler sand, wetting resultant mixture, standing it for 5 h, and molding and steam-curing bricks for 8 h at temperature of 95 C. Strength: 191 to 210 kg/sq.cm. EFFECT: excellent qualities. 3 tbl
