FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: essence of this process for manufacturing granular slow-acting fertilizers resides in introducing finely ground mineral additives, prior to granulation, in the form of inorganic salts or oxides, or hydroxides or their admixtures melting at temperatures higher than fertilizer melting point and preadmixed in ratio of 1 : 1 to 1 : 5 with simultaneously comminuting above additives to finely divided state (particle size: 20 to 60 mcm). Disclosed method prescribes introducing admixture into organic medium prepared by mixing cooling agent with 1 to 5 mass percent polyolefins or vinyl polymers or their chloro derivatives and applying polymer coating by treating granules by vapors of monomers or their admixtures under ionizing radiation conditions.
