FIELD: switching facilities. SUBSTANCE: actuator for gas interrupters of electric circuits has working piston fitted in working cylinder and made for moving translationally between first and second positions. Working piston divides working cylinder into first and second chambers. Working piston moves from first position to second position to open the actuator and from second position to first position to close the actuator. Outlet branch of working cylinder is connected with first chamber when working piston is near second position. Outlet branch is connected with second chamber when working piston is located at a distance from first position. In process of disconnection air at high pressure is delivered into first chamber. Actuator has outlet valve to release air from first chamber when pressure in first chamber drops below preset level. Outlet valve has pressure take-up section exposed to pressure in first chamber. Pressure take-up section is arranged so that, with working piston in first position, there is no contact between pressure take-up section and working piston.
