FIELD: sintering of products made from metal powder. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding billets from compressed mixture of powders of aluminium (94.5% ), copper (4.0%) and stearic acid (1.5%) to charging zone onto conveyor screen of through-type furnace and moving billets through preliminary heating zone with temperature of 400± 2°C, sintering zone with maximum temperature of 545± 2°C, cooling zone and discharge zone. Main process gas(nitrogen) is supplied to sintering zone through branch pipe in an amount of 15 m3/h. Main process gas flows through sintering zone to cooling zone. Additional process gas is supplied at the end of preliminary heating zone through branch pipe, main and nozzle in cocurrent streams circumferentially with respect to main process gas flow in sintering zone in an amount of 15 m3/h. Waste gas (nitrogen) is discharged from preliminary heating zone at the temperature of 400 C by means of water-jet ejector through branch pipe, cooled in condenser to 50± 1°C, with the amount of process gas discharged being 90 m3/h. Process gas is returned into charging zone upon cleaning. Total consumption of main and additional process gas is 30 m3/h.
