FIELD: mineral-wool plate production. SUBSTANCE: method of making rigid mineral-wool plates comprises steps of production of a mineral wool, blowing of a melt, preparation of a pulp from fibres and bitumen-dispersed binding, whose part is being applied on fibres at blowing process, introducing the remainder into a hydraulic mixer upon pulp preparation process, forming a rug, keeping it in still state and in states of natural and forced dewatering, drying it and heat treating; before applying the bitumen binding on the fibres adding in the binding 3-85% of starch in the form of non-paste flour and providing a portion of the binding, deposited on the fibre, equal to (51-95)% ; performing a forced dewatering of the rug by suction of vapor-gas-air mixture at sustaining a temperature of the rug (55-95) C; adding an antigelling matter in the bitumen-starch dispersed binding at process of preparing the last; adding the antigelling agent upon vacuum dewatering of the rug together with the steam; using as the antigelling agent a carbomide resin in quantity 5-30% (for a dry substance) to a mass of the starch. Apparatus for making rigid mineral-wool plates has a fibre former, a unit for depositing the binding onto the fires, the hydraulic mixer for preparing the pulp, a feeder in the form of centrifugal pump with a pulp conduit, a molding vacuum conveyer, a hot dewatering chamber, multisection chamber for drying and heat treatment of the rug, connected by a recirculation system with a mixing muffle of a furnace of fresh heat transfer agent, regulators of a conveyer speed and a flowrate of the heat transfer agent. Perforated steam registers, adjustably joined with a steam source, are mounted in the mixing muffle and in the chamber for hot dewatering. Temperature and vacuum pickups, arranged under a grid of the vacuum conveyer, are electrically connected with the regulators of the conveyer speed, the steam flowrate and the flowrate of fresh heat transfer agent. At least one section of the chamber for drying and heat treatment is provided by additional apertural steam registers. Under the grid of the conveyer a box of the vacuum suction device and the steam trap are mounted in an opposite position relative to the registers. EFFECT: enhanced quality of mineral-wool plates, enhanced efficiency. 6 cl, 1 dwg
