FIELD: lower carboxylic acid salts. SUBSTANCE: liquid sewage and gas discharges containing acetic acid impurities in the production of triacetine are neutralized with alkali; the resulting aqueous solutions containing 5-28% sodium acetate are evaporated at 80 - 95 C and at a residual pressure of 0,5-0,8 kg/cm2. The evaporated solution is cooled and crystallized, the salt is filtered off and the resulting sodium acetate is dried. EFFECT: simplified process.
