FIELD: preparation of a film forming substance. SUBSTANCE: a process for preparing piperylene oligomers is carried out by polymerization of piperylene-containing mixtures in the presence of an aluminium chloride etherate catalyst and additives in a hydrocarbon solvent. The additive is a terpene hydrocarbon fraction, mp 150-250 C, in an amount of 0.5-2.0 wt % per piperylene. This fraction is taken away from the last reactor in which the process of disproportioning of gum rosin is carried out in the presence of steam at an excessive pressure of 0.005-0.015 MPa. EFFECT: greater efficiency of the process.
