FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: process carried out in isopentane solution in presence of Ziegler- Natta catalyst modified by diphenyl ether and involving catalyst intake changes in dependence on polymer solution viscosity (solid content), is based on stabilizing polymer solution viscosity by varying diphenyl ether consumption value within the range 0.05 to 0.30 mol per one mol of aluminium or titanium component, molar ratio of Al to Ti components being maintained in the range 1.025-1.075. Diphenyl ether consumption is preferably varied within the range 0.10-0.20 mol per 1 mol of Al or Ti components of catalyst. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
