FIELD: sports. SUBSTANCE: working part of the item is deformed step-by-step for equal linear sizes; item is sustained at any step under load during 1 minute. Then total intensity of accumulated acoustic-emission signals is indicated. After the item is released its working part is impacted with imitator of gear and speed of motion of gear imitator is indicated. Quality of item is evaluated by means of comparison of values achieved with values of like parameters of standard item. Gear imitator is disposed onto the frame from outside of damping unit of working part of item. Piezodetector is provided with contrivances for measuring speed of gear imitator and connected with acoustic-emission signals meter. Damping unit has screw mechanism connected with clamp for item through strength detector, item working part displacement transducer and discharge rest of automatic release of working part of the item from deformation. Time detector is connected with contrivance for measuring speed of gear imitator. EFFECT: improved precision; improved reliability. 3 cl, 2 dwg
