FIELD: optical means of information coding. SUBSTANCE: converter has mobile raster measurement disc, immobile indicating disc composed of relatively shifter raster zones and conjugate to raster measurement disc, 4n optical reading elements located over circumference of discs, n/2 interpolators and n/2 formers of counting pulse. Characteristic feature of converter lies in insertion of majority element and (2n-1) adders. Each interpolator includes optron, load resistor, four current amplifiers which like supply leads-out are tied together and are connected in series with light-emitting diode of optron in its power supply circuit. Load resistor is placed in series with photodetector of optron in its supply circuit. Shift between odd and even raster zones of indicating disc is equal to half-spacing of raster. Outputs of optical reading elements installed opposite to even and off diametrically placed raster zones of indicating disc are connected in pairs to input of proper adders which are integrated into n/2 groups of four adders in each. Outputs of adders of each group are connected to inputs of current amplifiers of corresponding interpolator. Common point of load resistor and photodetector of optron of each interpolator is connected to proper input of majority element through like former of counting pulses. Output of majority element is output of converter. Such organizational structure of converter ensures formation of pulse sequence of synchronization of operation of recording laser and drive with provision for technological errors smaller by an order of magnitude in comparison with errors of positioning of rasters on discs. Angular accuracy of recording of bits of information can reach an order of tenth fractions of angular second. This is related to decrease of technological errors obtained in proposed converter.
