FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes positioning patient either exposed to ionizing radiation or suffering from radiation sickness in purpose-designed apparatus and then treating him with static electric field having strength of 10 to 100 kW during 3 to 20 min. EFFECT: disclosed method allows neutralizing aggressive radicals both in blood and tissues, saturating latter with energy much superior to ionizing energy (E) in absolute values, but having opposite sign, reducing number of free ions in tissues and curtailing level of ion-exchange processes. 1 tbl
