FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: radiation exposure is preceded by measuring an average fluorescent focus of γH2AX histone in peripheral blood lymphocytes. If an average histone threshold is more than 1.0 per one cell, the patient is referred to a group of radioresistant individuals. The method enables detecting individual radiosensitivity prior to radiation therapy in patients with malignant growths that can be used for optimising the therapeutic course and reducing the number of complications.

EFFECT: reducing time of examination and ease of implementation.
