FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: device comprises die 1, upper punch 2 with shaped forming part, and lower punch 3 with core 4 in its hole. In operation, upper punch 2 goes down, closing the end surfaces of core 4 and shaped part of upper punch 2. During further downward movement of upper punch the core 4 is withdrawn and metal powder is molded. In the course of molding, the core is fully or partly replaced by the shaped part of the upper punch 2. Hole in blank is formed by the shaped part of the upper punch 2 or by core 4 with the end surfaces of core and shaped part being in constant contact with each other which broadens considerably the technological capabilities of the molding process. EFFECT: improved design.
