FIELD: machining of materials. SUBSTANCE: flat sheet of solid material is placed between nozzle and the surface of the blank facing the cutting jet. As the jet-discharging nozzle is moved along contour of blank of the honeycomb type with its walls parallel to the direction of liquid jet, the flat sheet of solid material is cut through, the liquid jet deviates through a certain angle and cuts the honeycomb wall in the direction from upper surface of blank to the lower one.
