FIELD: hoisting equipment. SUBSTANCE: oscillation extinguisher of the mine hoisting container has a damping unit with a wheel. The wheel nave is made of the material flexible in the radial direction and with variable rigidity in the circumferential direction. The brake fixtures are made as brush members, one of them is fixed on the body of the hoisting container, the other on the suspension cantilever. Owing to the wheel rotation under the action of the braking flexible fixtures the change of the indicated rigidity and the exclusion of the initiation in the system of the resonance processes brought about by the coincidence of frequencies of the natural and induced container oscillations takes place. EFFECT: simpler design of the extinguisher used in the hoisting equipment. 1 cl, 1 dwg
