FIELD: bearing member in metal works and frame structures in mechanical engineering, air and space crafts. SUBSTANCE: rod has rigidly interconnected boron-aluminium tube and aluminium end joined, for instance, with diffusion weld. Outer part of end surface located at the face of the tube is cylindrical, and outer surface of adjoining part of the end is conical at the tube-end joint section. End length of cylindrical outer surface is within 10 to 25 per cent of the total length of tube-end joint section. EFFECT: bearing structure of high strength and low specific density. 1 dwg
