FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear rim 4 with barrel-shaped teeth 9 and spherical surface of their points 10 on one of wheels 3 of the device is engageable with other gear rim 6 rotating in synchronism with the shaft of other wheel 5. Shaft 1 of wheel 3 of the device is mounted in spherical bearings 2; rim 6 is mounted directly on wheel 5; teeth of wheel 3 are limited with spherical surfaces in the bases of tooth spaces and on the lareral sides the teeth are limited with surfaces whose equations are indicated in the description. In case teeth of rims 4 and 6 are engageable during operation not in the center plane of gearing but in the radial plane, the turning moment occurs which returns teeth 9 and 13 to the position till they are engageable in the center plane. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of operation and facilitated manufacture, extended field of application, enhanced compensation, equilibrium, simplification of construction and technology. 5 dwg
