FIELD: metalurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includs seal coupling of insulated systems of a device with sample receivcers arranged at different levels, submerging of the device into melt, unsealing, filling of the receivers, repeated sealing of the systems, and removing the systems from melt. The sealing of the systems is performed in submerging of the device into melt owing to creating an axcess pressure. After achiving pressure balance, one takes samples at different distances from the center of a bath filled with melt and at different levels by creating a pressure drop deu to sucsessive unsealing of the internal spaces of the insulated systems by using a means positioned outside of melt zone. A moment of starting the sampling is determined by a moment of actuating of a safety valve which is connected in one of the systems and adjusted by outer pressure corresponding to tghe depth of the bath at the level of the sampling. The device for sampling from melt comprises housing with a melt sample receivers and means for sealing spaces. The spaces for positioning of the sample receivers is provided in the insulated systems at lower part of vertical passages below the level of their intersection with the horizontal passages provided with corundum pipes. The means for sealing the systems are autonomous and arranged outside of the part of the device which is submerged in melt. One of the systems is provided with a safety valve.
