FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: blood serum is taken off, diluted with buffered saline solution at the ratio 1:4. Then 2 ml 6% polyethylene glycol-6000 is added to 0.1 ml diluted serum, mixture is incubated for 1 h at the room temperature following by spectrophotometry at 450 nm. Allergy is diagnosed at the value of optical density of mixture 1.2 U. Use of method proposed accelerates allergy diagnosis by 2.5 times, precision of diagnosis is 87%.
