SUBSTANCE: composition has, mas. p.: polyvinyl alcohol 1; sodium salt of styrene and itaconic acid copolymer of the formula (I) given in description 0.1-042; 1.5-2.7% colloidal solution of tungstic acid 13-74; formic acid 0.8-3.0, and water 9-20. Composition is used in recording systems and display units of optical information. EFFECT: increased maximal optical density and stability of linear dimensions under wet conditions. 1 tbl
