TRAPEZOID PLOW SHARE AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: share has a base with a back and holes for attachment. It also has a cutting part with a straight blade positioned at an acute angle relative to the back so that the angle apex is on the furrow edge side. On the back side the share has a bulge with a stiffening rib where the cutting part joins the share base. The rib runs parallel with the blade. The ratio of normal segments to the blade from respectively the stiffening rib line to the points of cross of the normal line and line of the back and blade is (1.2-2.0):1 on the field edge side and (0.8-1.6):1 on the furrow edge side. The bigger ratio in the second proportion corresponds to the bigger ratio in the first proportion. For the production, a strip is made and the external contour of the share is cut out of the strip (its straight blade, furrow edge, base back, and field edge). The strip is formed with its cross-section variable across its width, and it has an edge for the cutting part blade and a thicker part increasing with distance from the edge at the share base. Part of the share contour is cut out at an acute angle relative to the strip edge at the share blade with the angle apex on the side of the furrow edge contour.
