GAS SCRUBBING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: power engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering and other industries; cleaning of flue and process gases and air loaded with mechanical and vapor-gas admixtures. SUBSTANCE: scrubbing device has housing whose lower part is filled with liquid, gas inlet branch pipe arranged in center of housing, gas outlet and slime outlet branch pipes, liquid feeder, attachment, sprinkler and drip pan. Sprinkler is made in form of continuous slot closed over perimeter by walls of channel, with liquid feed branch pipes. Sprinkler is arranged on converging tube of gas inlet branch pipes. Device has also another sprinkler arranged on attachment coaxially with gas inlet branch pipe. This sprinkler is made in form of continuous slot closed over perimeter by walls of attachment, with liquid feed branch pipes. Slots of sprinklers arranged on gas inlet branch pipe and on attachment are adjustable in width owing to provision of frame which are wedge-type in cross section and are closed over perimeter. Frames are arranged, respectively, in channel which closes the slot and in attachment and are held by bolts. Frames are installed for periodically reciprocation.
