SWINGING-IN DAVIT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: boom of the davit is connected with bent post by means of joint and is equipped with drive ensuring swinging in of the boom from the upwards to the post at transportation position of the davit. In working position, the boom forms extension of the post in direction of removing of boom knock from the board. The boat falls are suspended to the boom by means of movable supporting unit ensuring movement of the boat to the boom knock using suspension of minimal length to prevent impacts of the boat against the ship in launching.
