FIELD: process of modifying polymeric materials, including textile materials, by plasma. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating elongate continuously fed polymeric material by electric glow discharge plasma in plasma-generating gas under vacuum; providing cyclic treatment by plasma in alternation with supplying of gas to material, with gas flow rate being within the range of 0,10-0,17 m3/h/hour per square meter of total area of material on a normal pressure basis. EFFECT: reduced treatment time (by 30%) and intensified process.
