FIELD: transport; electrical machines; tests. SUBSTANCE: armature windings 1, 2 of tested machines are connected into series circuit and, through diodes 5 - 8, are connected to field windings 3, 4. Connected to field winding are cathodes of thyristors 21 - 23 and 24 - 26 of first and second controlled rectifiers, and anodes of above-indicated thyristors are connected to secondary windings 18-20 of three-phase transformer. Additional thyristors 9 and 10 are connected in parallel with winding 3, diode 5 and winding 4, diode 7, respectively. In process of testing device provides changes in operating conditions of electrical machines without changing their position on test stand and without complicated switching devices.
