FIELD: automotive industry; electrical equipment of diesel engine-powered vehicles. SUBSTANCE: diesel engine starting device has starter-generator 9 with series field winding 9.2 and separate field winding 9.3. Shaft of starter-generator is mechanically coupled with diesel engine shaft, and circuit of series field winding 9.2 and armature winding 9.1 is connected to terminals of battery 1 through make contact 8.2 of contactor 8. Device includes also battery charging circuit with series-connected fuse 2, diode 3 and current limiting resistor 4, thyristor 6 with inertia control unit 7 connected in series with series field winding 9.2 of starter-generator 9, relay 5 with coil 5.1 and break contact 5.2. Control unit 7 has stabilizing circuit with series-connected resistor 7.1 and voltage stabilizing diode 7.2, circuit being connected between anode and cathode of thyristor 6. EFFECT: provision of interference suppression and stability of time parameters of control unit signal, possibility of unification of starting devices for vehicles of different models. 6 cl, 4 dwg
