FIELD: boiler engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel and lime necessary for sulfur binding are introduced in furnace 1 through chute 5. Primary and secondary air is admitted, respectively, through gas-distributing grate 2 and nozzles 10. Material is separated from products of combustion in trap 3 and passed to gate valve 4 that functions to prevent direct ingress of flue gases from furnace 1 to trap 3 through chute 5 and to provide for reliable and steady movement of material over external circulating loop. Quantity of material passed through dense-layer heat exchanger 8 over internal circulating loop is controlled by means of shut-off control valve 9.
