FIELD: analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: meniscus is formed on boundary metal-electrolyte by squeezing out metal in capillary to specified height. Its upper cut is provided with substrate positioned horizontally. Boundary is polarized, value of interphase tension on this boundary is determined by method of capillary lifting. Metal is squeezed out till maximum pressure in drop on upper cut is obtained and value of interphase tension is found by method of maximum pressure in drop. Metal is squeezed out on to substrate till lying drop is formed and value of interphase tension is defined by method of lying drop. Dependences of change of surface tension on boundary metal - electrolyte with change of potential jump on it are plotted and root-mean-square error is calculated. Systematic error is taken into account by comparison of three electrocapillary curves obtained by different methods. EFFECT: enhanced authencity of analysis. 3 dwg, 6 tbl
