FIELD: optical detection and ranging. SUBSTANCE: optical detector has laser scanning unit 1, two check reflectors 2 and 3 disposed at base distance one from another and laser radiation receiver 4; all the units are conjugated optically. Detector also has target signal selector 5, syncpulse selector 6 and saw-tooth voltage generator 7 connected in series together; both units have equal rise and decay times. Unit 8 for measuring time intervals is connected in series with unit 9 for measuring distance and direction of object and with indicator 10. Sequent ranges subtracter 11 is connected in series with unit 12 for dividing by two. Output of the divider is connected with the second information input of unit 9. Unit 9 has the second output connected with input of subtracter 11. EFFECT: eliminated effect of target motion on precision of range finding. 2 dwg
