FIELD: test equipment. SUBSTANCE: device for testing tension of taper thread of pipes has base, unit for placing pipe under checking, measuring unit provided with reference gauge and contact detector, mechanism for piling up and turning on a reference gauge which is mounted for displacement in the direction of placing unit and back. Device is also provided with two position detectors; both are attached to the base. Contact detector of measuring unit is made in form of measuring prods connected kinematically with two-lever mechanism through spring-loaded traction. Prods are made to have adjusting overhangs till achieving value which corresponds to maximal tension of threads under control. Position detectors are mounted for interaction with plates of measuring unit at their end positions which correspond to limit values of tension. EFFECT: improved precision. 3 dwg
