METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ORNAMENTAL CONCRETE SLABS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing portions of mixtures having different colors, with mixture containing quartz sand with fraction of 0.1-0.9 mm, pigment, water and mineral pigment content being within the range of 10-15% by weight of cement weight and cement and quarts sand ratio 1:2; placing prepared portions on substrate; effectuating partial mixing of portions having different colors; compacting obtained ornamental layer by exposing it to vibrations; applying constructive layer mixture with dry ingredient content proportion: 0.1-1.1 parts by weight of portland-cement, 1.0-2.0 parts by weight of ceramic sand with fraction of 0.1-2.5 mm, 1.0-1.5 parts by weight of quartz sand with fraction of 0.1-0.9 mm, 1.0-1.5 parts by weight of natural marble saw powder. Mixture may contain 0.01-0.10 parts by weight of pigment. The mixture is subjected to vibrational compaction then distributed force within the range of 0.001-0.01 MPa is applied from top to molded product along its outline and the product is released from mold walls. Constructive layer surface may be made shaped, with predetermined pattern made by means of die. Molded product lying on substrate is directed for thermal treatment.
