MULTIPURPOSE VAN-TRAILER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: transport. SUBSTANCE: van-trailer has double-deck closed body with four running wheels. Each wheel has cylindrical member and rim with tyre. Electric lighting devices, battery-fed fan and furniture arranged in body serve to provide riding comfort. Additional sections are arranged at body end faces. Second deck of body has brackets in vertical longitudinal plane. Lower surfaces of brackets are hinge-connected with upper surfaces of corresponding additional sections for turning in horizontal plane. Each additional section is essentially parallelepiped coupled with body through support unit. The latter is made up of two spherical disks connected by centering rod. Disks are installed between corresponding surfaces of each bracket and additional section. Lower surface of each additional section is connected with lower surface of body by means of hinged rod for turning in horizontal plane and fixing relative to the latter. Round holes are made in opposite side walls of each additional section. Rigidly fitted in each hole is hollow cylindrical member on outer surface of which rim is installed for rotation. Stained glass panel with glazed door is installed inside each cylindrical member at side of outer end face. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 5 dwg
