FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is characterized by minimally possible number of operations and absolute stability. Short-circuit current is multiplied by two reference orthogonal signals and obtained multiplied signals are integrated over continuously shifted interval of time of preset duration. Positive effect is achieved by special conversion of multiplied signal. For this purpose two pulse periodic signals are formed and by their commands three pairs of intermediate signals are formed: integral, rectangular and inverse. Integral signal is periodically set to zero, rectangular signal transmits level of integral signal prior to setting to zero and inverse signal is formed by inversion of integral signal and displacement for half-period. Orthogonal component can be obtained by superimposition of intermediate signals. EFFECT: expanded application field. 3 cl, 4 dwg
