FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: ship stabilizer has blade of rudder 1, rudder stock 2 and hull recess 4 with guides 5. Blade of rudder 1 is fitted rotatably on stock 2 of rudder 1 through two bushes 6 made of antifriction material. Rudder stock 2 is fixed in carriage 3 having supports on guides 5 of hull recesses which are provided with mechanical stops of extended and retracted positions of rudder 1. Tail-piece of rudder stock 2 fitted in blade of rudder 1 is provided with through longitudinal slots and inner bore of rudder stock is divided into chambers "а" and "в" by piston 7 with rod whose end holds cross-piece 9 provided with flat sections received by longitudinal through slots of rudder stock tail-piece and screw sections received by screw slots of sectors fixed in blade of rudder 1. Rudder stock tail-piece is rigidly connected with holder 14 having surface on its neck which is two-sided pivot 16 fixed rotatably in step bearing 17 rigidly secured in the blade of rudder 1.
