FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: ship stabilizer has rudder blade 1, rudder stock 2, steering gear and recess 4 in form of chamber which is tight on side of shipboard space and exposed on side of her board; steering gear is arranged in movable carriage 3 located in recess 4. Steering gear is of the plunger type. Used as housing of steering gear is movable carriage 3 whose lateral sides have coaxial holes made in pairs for passage of plungers. Coaxial holes are closed with cylinders secured on lateral sides of carriage. Tiller located in carriage 3 is securely connected with rod 6 received by inner bore of rudder stock 2 and is securely connected with rudder blade 1 which is mounted on rudder stock 2 for turning about its axis.
