DEVICE FOR FORMING SLOTS IN WELL WALLS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: device for forming slots in well walls has cylindrical body accommodating downhole motor, cutting member on turning axle, and located between them are mechanisms transmitting rotary motion, feed and withdrawal of cutting member. Cutting member is made in form of toothed chain with hard-alloy cutting members, and gear wheel combined with drive gear, with one periphery and several intermediate carrying rollers which are interconnected by supporting arm of bell-crank. Axle of gear wheel is combined with axle of rigidly connected gear of drive of mechanism transmitting rotary motion from motor, and, simultaneously, with axle of rocking of bell-crank connected by double hinge to circular piston of hydraulic cylinder of feed and withdrawal mechanism additionally furnished with return spring. Mechanism transmitting rotary motion to gear wheel of chain is made in form of flywheel fitted on motor hollow shaft. Flywheel end has teeth of cylindrical-bevel gearing transmitting torque through idle gear of drive of chain gear wheel. Flywheel is made hollow with axial water course whose axis is combined with axis of chain in point of its fitting on gear wheel. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
