FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: communication channels of State Traffic Police (STP) are used. Pulses acting on receivers of STP station are formed starting from moment of unauthorized use of vehicle at operating frequencies introducing noises which do not affect operation of communication channels. Noises indicate high-jacking of vehicle and, basing on noises, patrol service can locate vehicle. Pulses are sent with preset modulation of duration from 0.2 to 1.0 s at frequency of 5-10 s till vehicle is found and device is switched off by patrol officer. Pulses are individually coded for each vehicle. Basing on code of pulse, type, color and licence number of vehicle are determined. Used as receivers are receivers of STP communication channels, and transmitter installed on vehicle has additional high-frequency concealed antenna. Pulse shaper has code modulator, and receivers of STP communication channels are provided with at least one decoder. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and operating capabilities. 2 cl, 6 dwg, 1 tbl
