DEVICE FOR FEED OF LIQUID GLASS MELT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: knobbing head of device for feed of liquid glass melt has two horizontal mirror-installed water-cooled tubes, each of which has spoon made in form of water-cooled hemisphere from one end, and gear, from the other end. Tube gears are meshed. One gear is connected by means of lever with rod of pneumatic cylinder so as to form sphere by joining spoons. Knobbing head is secured to carriage installed on guides and executing motion of knobbing head from position of liquid glass melt to glass forming equipment. Device takes portion of liquid glass melt of definite mass, transfers it in closed heat-controlled space and places it accurately to the center of die block that guarantees uniform distribution of liquid glass melt over mold and quality of product. Device is capable of servicing several presses alternately. EFFECT: higher efficiency, product quality and extended field of application. 2 cl, 3 dwg
